Doodz,
I was browsing at Seattle REI yesterday, and ran across a Prior Khyber split 165 cm with hardware, black topo graphics, black base, brand new, for $650.

Just called Seattle REI: not a single Kyber in stock in any of the stores. I was all ready to buy my first split too!
I demoed a Kyber up at Whistler on Friday and am sold. I just need to find one for a reasonable price. They are 975 from the factory, and they guy I demoed from said they would probably sell the demo board for 775 or so (in April-ish). How doe REI sell them so cheap?

Didn't even see this post until today. But we cleaned REI out.
We were in the store Saturday buying mountaineering boots and wandered over to check out the deals on snowboards. We saw the 165 Khyber and the 159 Voile and bought them both up that night as they were closing. Weren't really planning on buying them....but they were such a good deal that we couldn't pass them up. So, I guess it is bye, bye snowshoe time.
Took them out for a short bit yesterday. Yep, yep, yep. At least they found a good home

ultraa,
glad you picked up the Khyber split. it looked like a lonely puppy, sitting on the rack at REI, gathering dust, and now its found new life, under the boots of a hotty split chic.
