Up for sale is my barely used 2012 Burton Freebird splitboard ($700 new), complete with all Voile Splitboard Universal Interface hardware ($150 new) and 140mm BCA Magic Carpet climbing skins ($185 new). I'll even throw in some Burton Custom Freestyle bindings if you want 'em. Board is black with the orange base, like new, with just minor scratches on the deck, and a _perfect_ base. All hardware is in great shape, and I'll include the Voile puck alignment tool for setting up your own stance angle. The BCA skins are in excellent condition, and work really well with clips front and rear. The board has all the latest rocker and camber going on, dig the hype. This really is a great board, and was a good upgrade from my old Voile splitboard.

This is the setup you need to get out there and start splitting in style. Spring/summer volcano splitboard season is just starting, & this is the perfect time of year to start splitboarding!

The whole setup has less than 10 days on it. I'm only selling because I just got a new Voile Artisan splitboard in a wide size that better fits my big feet.

Possible trade towards a decent mountain bike?

Buyer to pay shipping if you're not local to the Pacific Northwest.

It's like Lynrd Skynrd said, man:

Won't you fly, free bird, yeah.

Backcountry.com spiel:
"Whether you're setting out an epic dawn patrol in the backcountry or venturing out of the resort to get some goods otherwise inaccessible from the chairlift, the Burton Freebird Split Snowboard opens up a world of fresh terrain never thought possible. The S-Rocker camber profile boosts float without compromising stability in varied conditions, and the Infinite Ride technology ensures season after season of 'best-runs-ever'.

S-Rocker--Burton's powder-specific rocker design features a rockered nose for insane float and compressed camber from the front binding back for control in variable conditions

Side Effects lengthen the surface area of the contact points at the nose and tail to increase edge hold and deep-snow planing power

Directional shape with 7mm of taper for float and control--hey, no powder leg!

Yardstick printed on topsheet for easy snow-pit measuring

10:45 sidewalls for bomber impact protection

Pro-Tip technology tapers the tip and tail for reduced weight and easier spins"

Do you still have the package?

I may be interested? What size feet do you have that you needed to upgrade?

Yep, it's still here.

I wear a 11.5/12 shoe and am using hardboots. The Freebird is actually fine for that foot size with the hardboots and bigger angles. The Artisan is the first wide splitboard I've owned. Just seemed like it was worth a try to see if it made a difference for me on steep stuff and such. Might even try it out with some softboots...

Here are the specs on the 2012 Freebird. It's got a wee bit o' taper, which seemed like a nice feature. It's 12-17mm narrower than the Voile. Will that make a difference? Hard to tell. I've had wide solid boards in the past that seemed decent.

Size (cm) 162
Effective Edge (mm) 1170
Tip Width (mm) 295.9
Waist Width (mm) 255
Tail Width (mm) 289.9
Sidecut Radius (m) 6.43

Voile Artisan 162 Wide:
Effective Edge 1162
Nose Width 307
Waist width 267
Tail Width 307
Sidecut (meter) 8.5

I have a 11.5 softboot.

Is everything there I will need to start splitboarding?

Are you flexible on the price?

I am thinking of purchasing Sat night, then doing St. Helens on Sunday......

Thanks
