So glad I was able to find this excellent website and forum. Just made the decision to try splitboarding.
I'm looking for an inexpensive (or free!) splitboard.
I usually ride a Burton Custom 166 on lift service mountains here in the Northeast. Not sure if I should be looking for a similar length board like I ride now, or what. I've done a fair amount of backcountry skiing and snowshoeing, but I never earned my turns with my board. I recently moved to a location that has a nice hill nearby in a conservation area with trails and some wide open faces. I was thinking about strapping my board to a pack and snowshoeing up, switching gear, and riding down. That may still be in the cards... But, if I can get a used splitboard with a little life left in it, I would really like to try it out.
Something ready to go with plates and bindings would be super.
The price will need to be pretty low for me to consider buying anything. But, I figure I'll just put this out there and see what happens...
Thanks Wayne
