Central Oregon just got hammered and it's about ready to happen again. A good 1-2 feet of new, depending on where you riding. Came in with little wind, so good pow but a bit deep for low angle turns.
Lots of instability. Shooting cracks on upper bowls, with shallow slab releases on anything steeper than 35-37 degrees. We did get a step down up higher, but we did it on purpose. 2+ foot fracture dense slab.
be careful out there. This next storm is coming in heavy, with a ton of wind.
I went snowmobiling friday and did some boarding NW of Todd Lake yesterday. Snow is deep but heavy. Did have some layers separating in our snow tests. Decided to stick to the trees and/or low aspect.
