Anyone know which resort in Montana you can rent? I've heard from a few sources that one of the tiny mom n pop places will let you rent the whole resort for a relatively small fee. It was in the ballpark of $1000-$2000/day. Rounding up 100 friends, and friends of friends, to make renting the place out affordable would not be a problem. One source said Maverick but I haven't been able to confirm this...haven't spoken with Maverick yet though. The thought of bombing spring groomers with 100+ friends makes me really want to determine which resort (if any) will still do this.

Not sure about renting, but if you and 99 friends each pitch $8500 you could own Maverick. Now there's an idea!

Maybe the sb.com members should all just do it? There's hotsprings...

Anyone have $8500 to float me? It's for a good cause.

$8500

What are the foreign investment laws in the US?

Sounds like there should be 5 more zeros on the end?

$8500 each for 100 people = $850,000. It's been listed for years though, I bet with a solid offer you'd get it for a lot less!

And if a Kiwi can buy one I'm sure an Aussie can.

Yup turner mtn. Have a buddy who went up there when some people he knew had rented it. Said it was awesome. They had a keg at bottom of lift so you could grab beer for the chair ride. Also said terrain wasn't bad. I almost jumped over there when I was up in whitefish the other week.

Turner is truly awesome if you hit it w/ fresh pow. some sweet trees and limited grooming
2000 vert relatively steep top to bottom. The 1961 tbar to the top was an expirience til it was replaced by a double lift about '01.

I think lookout pass can be rented on their off days for about $8000

I've known folks who've rented Turner. It's a purdy little ski hill but it's an awfully long ways away from pretty much everything.
