No digging to the ground since March. If my 8' probe doesn't hit the deck when probing a pit site, I usually stop digging to the ground. I wouldn't expect to see anything on ground-level layers until things REALLY start to heat up for multiple days on end, at this here in the Beartooths.

Greg, on your Flickr page click the button that looks like three little dots (...) which will bring up a screen giving you more size options. Right click whatever size you want (less than 1024 works well here at sb.com) and select "copy image source". Then come over here to SB and click the little button above the message compose area that says "Img". This will plop down a little code and you can "paste" the image url you saved from Flickr in between the code bits.

As for Nomad tearing it up I do enjoy seeing this. I ran into him last night when he was out on a jog and I asked him if he'd been getting after it, to which he responded with a humble, "no". Looks to me like he's been getting after it!

  I think the pace me n' my girlfriend move at is about 1/2 of what Nomad is capable of. So I see where he's coming from. I shudder to imagine what a "yes" response would indicate... Hossack-MackGowan? Teewinot-Grand Teton-Middle Teton-South Teton linkup? (you out there Patrick?) :headbang:

Toured the Finger Meadows at Bridger yesterday morning. Ridge had boot-top pow on it, lower down things got manky. Last night's freshies should probably have erased the mank.

Good to see you up at Bridger Sam. I must be lucky - twice in one week! There was a surprising amount of snow on the ridge, but the rain and warm temps from the previous few days had done some damage to the snowpack - it was fairly saturated throughout. On account of the new load and weakened structure, I opted to stay off of even Bridger Gully. The run I enjoyed was quite tasty though.

Nick - I ran into my friend Ray who had shredded Proj X three weeks ago (two snowboarders) - he said it was all time! Perhaps that's who you saw up there? He did mentioned that they were getting sloughed pretty hard at the top.

Hah - I appreciate the flattery, but there's no way I'm in good enough shape to do any of those things this year. Plus the HMG is also an entirely different beast. You two really weren't far behind me...

I'll load up the Cham pics from a few weekends ago when I get a chance. Busy getting work done in prep for France right now tho.
