Hope everybody's out playing this weekend, because it was AWESOME! I went up to Ellis and Garnet (both my first time ever) this weekend, the north facing slopes still hold good snow, but they're getting tracked out like resorts. So I would probably wait for more snow (fingers across) before visiting those two places again. If you're heading up to Garnet, definitely bring along your ski crampons (I was glad that I had mine). worst skin track I have ever been on, if you can call it skin track.

Came down on the avy gullie. The skin up was pretty awful and I was glad that I didn't have to come back the same way.

That's cool to hear that Garnet is getting shredded! Haven't been over to the Gallatin Valley for a couple months now, amazing to hear how much snow is over there.

In case you've missed the recent onslaught of social media, conditions in certain parts of the Beartooths are all-time. Just one pic for now, going to start saving them up for a big springtime Greater Yellowstone TR when I get the time. Good time to get out and go exploring!

took a quick trip up to the yurt on game creek (west side of the teets). Decent snow, great company, and filled up a memory card.

finished the week with some closing day shenanigens at the village. yours truly pretending I'm jamie lynn … as yoshi … and a regular footer. Anybody remember this board? First time it's seen snow in probably 16years! Didn't ride too bad considering it's about 15cm short.

Awesome photos Duane! Is Game Cr south of Teton Canyon? That place looks great. How much is it?

Sick method air too.

Thanks nick! Game Cr is three drainages south of Teton. Teton-Darby-Fox-Game. The yurt sits on the ridge between Fox and Game. This ridge culminates at the summit of Housetop Peak. Just south across fox creek canyon from Fossil. Weekends are $400/night. Weekdays $350. April rates usually drop to $250. Get 8 people and its fairly cheap. Glamour-camping for sure. Added a bunch of lines to the ever growing hit-list. You making a pilgrimage to the ski cabin this spring? Or staying close to the 'tooths?

It's not really on my agenda, but I certainly could head in there. I do have lots I want to do in the Park. I'm going to be working 3 12s starting on May first, so I'll have ample time to head down your way.

How about yourself?

No hard plans for a trip at this time. Drop me a line when you're down this way in May.
