Dunno, I would call Mt Aire Canyon Road softly private, as opposed to very private. There's a locked gate at bottom and you might attract attention if you try to get your vehicle through. I don't think anyone's gonna bother you if you park outside the gate and skin/walk/run up the road.
And wait, Snurfer you RAN up Mt Aire the other day? Jeez, that musta been a bit punchy. The snowboard ride down the road was kinda fun, like Porter Fork road but steeper. The riding terrain is better (more wide open) on the E-facing than the W-facing.

Thanks for the additional info Buckchow... Yeah I know crazy, but running from Burch Hollow (near Porter) up to the approach at Elbow Fork in Millcreek was 90% run-able. Admittedly I was surprised to be able to summit, but the trail had seen enough hikers and moose that I only post holed the last 40' or so. At the top I was shocked to see someone had skied/boarded the east face from the summit down into a pretty spooky gully. There are some really messed up crust facet mixtures on the MC side E through SW, so I was even more freaked out when the sheriff heli came flying over the saddle below me and into Lamb's. With our snow pack its easy to fear the worst... Also note my track from the previous Sunday (exiting Elbow Fork blows, thus the query about Mt Aire Fork)
A couple college buddies from the U have places up there, pretty low key.
It's definitely private though not many residents stay all winter. Some fun terrain up there (8,000' north aspects). Word on the street is some brush clearing for a 1,500' gully run is in process
