Stable good snow, steep terrain and a lifetime of dream lines right out the back door. I couldnt ask for more right now. We are getting a re-fresh about daily and things are filled in a lot more than average. ColoRADO is certainly going off this year!
Whats up boys? How r things looking in Summit? I fly out Thursday, riding Friday and Saturday. Supposed to do a guided tour of Buffalo Mountain / Silver Couloir with the guys over at Tour Further one of the days but looking for partners and options for my other day. I'm gonna be a bit slow on the skin track since I'm coming from sea level but aside from that I'm in good shape and am comfortable riding most terrain. Anyone wanna hook up?

Been a fun last few days here in the backyard. Summited and rode two classics that I can see right from my window. Thurs 4/24 made the long treck from the gold dust tr just up the road from como and summited & rode the SE couloir off mt silverheels. Yesterday 4/25 drove up 4mile cr and finally checked off horseshoe mtn by climbing & shredding the boudior coulior!!! Been 3 yrs in the quest for that one. Conditions have been great for stability as everything seemed pretty locked up after out last good hard freeze wed. Hope everyone is out there getting some!!! Pow day tomm & Monday looks as if we are in for a fat spring around here!!!!!
I might as well keep this thread alive concidering how great the conditions are in CCO. We recieved about 12" in the past 48hours, lots of wind up high but the conditions are sweet! I went out last night after work and got into some goods with the dog. Not much to show, but its hard to beat an afterwork 7:45pm shred, sunset POW turns. Going for something bigger tonight. Temps have remained cold and the snow keeps coming! Loven life!

Been good down here. Stability is excellent, base is really good. Last week the San Juans got around 20" of snow in the early week which continued our winter. By Saturday and Sunday it was more corn conditions and rode really fast and chaulky. Dust layer is showing only at lower solar elevations, which is great, and keeping the base. Got out into Velocity Basin last weekend. The temps were warm, about 50-55 degrees both days. How I determine the heat on aspects was as follows. S - Off by 10am, E - Off by 11, N - off by 2, W - off by 2.
Another round of storms looks to be coming down this way, keeping the snow fresh and still deep. Here's to continuing to ride through May!
Holding on above 11,200' pretty well. Anything on a solar aspect lower is a little manky and the dust coming through.
Few ideas for this weekend, we'll see how it pans out.
