A-basin opens up Wednesday

Anybody heading up? Can't make it this year.

Might be kinda fun if they get the 1-2" coating on top of the WROD.

Don't abbreviate... Its called the "White Ribbon Of Death" for a reason dont candy coat it.

Maybe its actually... the White Road of Destiny?? No... from what I saw it was definitely a great time riding 1 run with hundreds of your closest friends. Lines were certainly looking long, but from what I hear, vibes were good.



Funny thing is that the place was a ghost town yesterday.

Annual birthday trip down there Thursday, hit me up if any of you are out there. Just me and a bunch of shady patrollers from the Boat.

A-basin got 4 inches yesterday (the week after Memorial Day) and has extended it's season an extra weekend. Good news for the backcountry as well.

Here is the info on A-basin's extended season:


"...... Colder temperatures and a winter that just won't quit in the high country has enabled Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) to extend its season. Originally, A-Basin was set to close June 2nd. The ski resort will run daily operations through June 2. It will then re-open for the final weekend, June 7, 8, and 9.

For its closing weekend, A-Basin will offer top-to-bottom skiing/riding with the Black Mountain Express lift running from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 8, and 9. There will be no beginner skiing or riding during its closing weekend...,"
