How's the wind been treating things? I'm guessing we'll have lots of thick or wind board until we get this next storm.

The goods look good! Thanks for the update, I haven't had a chance to get out there yet and was curious what the conditions were like.

Good powish conditions in high elevation north facing areas especially where the wind hasn't wrecked a little havoc. Fun corn in south facing areas.

A couple pics from recent LTCC AIARE 2. Not many splitters in these classes...

Image
3 mm basal facets lingering in high elevation slide path that went earlier this season (so the snow is extra thin there)

Awesome splitguide Jason investing in some continuing ed. Check him out in AK with H2O.

Great group of patrollers, guides and ripping skiers getting the knowledge.

Casa de Polvo was all time today. Tons of features to jump off with great pow to land in. Bottom 300ish feet thinner snowpack and heavier snow surface around 2pm. No instabilities observed but vis limited observations.

(edited for slight increase in accuracy en espanol)

Super sick tree ridin, roof jibbin conditions today. Felt deep, like you could really lay into it. Looking forward to more stability, my guess, Monday will be the day to get somethin steep and big :headbang:

3-3-14 Today started out promising. Goal was to drop Ralston's N side from the top. Went up the south side. Brought the chomps but ended up skinning the whole way. Very little wind, mild temps. Views of Sierra at tahoe

Image

A about cup lake the whole place was socked in. very little visibility. We dug a pit and decided to drop into cup lake. It would have been rad to bag the N. side but visibility was deteriorating. (I seem to get skunked on Ralston more than anywhere else  )

Getting back to the road was a bitch! total white out.

Here is bowlrider on Cup lake

Image

Made it out and to the car. Raining below 8000 feet 43 degrees at the snopark
