Height of snow on a N facing slope at 9000 feet in Deso....310 cms. Impressive considering how grim it is at lower elevations.

Snow surface awesome down to about 7500...although daytime warming is growing a crust. SH/NSFs keeping surface fast and fun up higher. If you go high and know where to look it's incredibly good. Several classics look untouched.

Skin track in on la montana que habla (both ridge and mid slope on main slide path) and plenty of untouched left. Recommended (the lake is getting a bit sketch, I transitioned and nearly put my split through the snow/ice into the drink, still skinned across no problem but more visible water than normal).

I was reading an article about snow surveys that said the snow pack is deeper above 10,000 feet between Whitney and Yosemite this year than the last 2 years. Given the last two years haven't been big snowfall years, it's still pretty interesting. We went down to VA lakes yesterday, there is quite a bit of snow south of there and north of there up high. Access is the only limitation. When the roads open, it should be good out there.

Side country at kirkwood was fun today. All aspects are soft. Rode north and west facing and found spring snow. E and S facing are manking up early in the day. Vidyo from Cali chutes and little AK face.
