I went up there last Sat to check it out, because I saw some pictures of an old rope tow there and wanted to work on my skinning. Well I did not find the the remains of the rope tow, but It's a good place for a newb(like me) to work on your skinning and transitions. There were quite a few X-country skiers and snow shoers. In the area that I ended up in, there some small hills that are good for about 5 turns. The runs in the area where the rope tows were are probabley a lot more fun. You can get a map at the ski patrol. Last week the weather was pretty nice mid 50's sunny and breazy. There was really good coverage, but the snow was like mashed potatoes. It's a good place for a newb to get used to skinning ( which is alot more phyicaly demanding than it looks).
