Wow! Great job putting this together Wade. From the photos it looks like an Epic weekend.
I have yet to even have a powder day yet this season so I'm really bummed I didn't make it up there. I know how much work goes into an even like this but I hope you make this a regular event so I'll be able to make it when I'm not in crunch.

Big thanks to Treepilot for everything. I hope this is the first year of many Canuck Splitfests. I had a great time slaying powder with the West Kootenay Crew.
Ahhh Revelstoke! We're taking over.....Watch out two plankers! karkis showing us how it is. This guy is an animal! Damn Straight! Raffle Swag jcocci was so fast at the changeover he won a custom Prior Split! Climbing Fortitude Ridge on day 1 Mt. Smart Day 2 involved DEEP trail breaking. Vince (dastarddownhill) loving it! Adam waving for the Camera. Adam, Vince and Isabelle decided on a quick lap on our way home Monday. Isabelle shreding a Gunbarrel Chute on McGill Shoulder. Isabelle riding the deepest snow of her life. Vince exiting the whiteroom. The problem with taking powder pics of Vince, is that he rarely turns! He just pins it and airs. This man charges! There's not even a pillow here. Ollie to Method. Vince using the power of the mustache to gap a couple of downed trees to sketchy short tranny. Adam loves to surf and it shows in his riding I love this shot. This pretty much describes the snow we had for the whole weekend. Layin back. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Treehugger
So all and all I'd say it was a success! Vince, Adam, and I are headed back to Rogers Pass for a week in Late February to hopefully get to some bigger lines. If anyone is interested let me or Vince know. Again BIG thanks to Wade.

I had a great time and would like to thank Wade and all of the sponsors for showing there support.
If you like shaky, badly edited, look at me footage then this video will be the ticket.
Filming was almost impossible with every face shot blocking the lense !
I hope everyone liked my super fast slide show presentation, I had a great time doing it!
Awesome song in that video! Looks like it was stupid deep. I wish I came to splitfest, but "unfortunately" I already had my trip to Terrace lined up that week...had to ride pow there instead. Next year!
I am totally down to do this, I would just need one or two people to carpool with. I would be coming from Calgary and according to google maps its 13.5 hrs drive plus a stop of the boarder. Roadtrip!?
Cost would be splitting the gas, $55 or $65 for the event and accommodations.
Bummed I had to miss it due to can't-say-no editorial obligations, but stoked Nikolai (nearls) was there to provide some coverage for frequency. Looks like an amazing time, and hope to make it next year--and at least to the pass some time this year! Hit the link for Nikolai's take on the festivities... http://www.frqncy.com/news/2011/02/02/t ... -splitfest

Finally had some time to put together the footage that I took at the fest. Two and half runs over two days...
And although not splitfest related, nor even splitboard related. Here is a recent vid from a trip up to K3 Cat Ski out of Revelstoke, BC.
That vid just brought on the biggest across my face!!! You sum it up how exactly that weekend was, simple amazing and the best part is I now have a crew to split with back in Cow Town!
Also the splitfest was my 3rd and 4th time splitting, So I learned a ton from everyone, my tour group (Kevin), Dean and his colleague at Prior just to name a few.
Again a big THANKS everyone for an epic weekend!!!

So ya let me know!
Shameless threadjack (x2)
I just registered for Scrubfest (the LAST one apparently)... I'm leaning towards a leisurely trip with some extra time to tour before or after, though the standard weather disclaimer applies.
Drop me an email wade@treepilot.ca if anyone out there would to carpool.... registration deadline is the 10th!

Wow... I wish I'd known about this event. Awesome.
Have to say, the sheer number of riders out on the slope reminds me of that incident with all the snowmobilers down around Fernie or Creston last year... was anyone with more than just the basic avy course out digging pits and so on?
