Im keen as, but i've never skinned in my life. I've done a little bit of boot packing but only this year have i decided to step into a split. Maybe mid/late season or something? when i have done a little and i don't consider myself to be a burden?

we all start somewhere....bootpacking ruapehu you will need crampons and ice axe..(i have an old set)..dont worry about slowing us down..you will find heaps of info on the how on this site..keep in touch ....living at the mtn(ohakune) i dont mind spending some time showing you how to split..i have converted two others to splitboards and all our missions are on the safe side..not too extreme...
