Anyone familiar with a Bomber 2 piece plate binding? I'm assuming this is to make them lighter, but I can't find anything about them on the Bomber site. In reading past threads I'm not quite sure I understand how compatible they are with voile plates. Any experience here as well? These threads give the impression that you can get them to work with filing and mods, is this the case?

Finally, are the Bombers the way to go over voile mountain plates, how about the Burtons? Any other options out there to consider for AT boot setup?

On a split you want the Bomber splitboard binding that bolts directly to the slider track. Lighter and simpler. I think all they did was eliminate the center of the mount plate. Stiffer than the voile mtn. plate setup and a little more weight, but like the name says, bomber! If you need some flex in your setup the Voile may be better for you. The drawbacks to the burton plates are a wider foorprint because of the binding plate itself and the fact that burton does not produce them any more, making replacement parts harder to find. Any other plate binding will also work for you, providing they use the toe bail lever, and have a full 360 degree rotation. Pogo is one that comes to mind, and there are a few more out there, such as possibly the F2's. Only the base level Snowpro's will work directly onto the slider track, the higher level Snowpro do not rotate 360 degrees. If I think of any others, I'll post here.
