I like the static myself, I'm pretty conservative though. #3 is my second choice, while i think the text is funny on #2 I just don't like the text in general.

i like the concept of #3, but the pic of the dude skinning is screaming for some sort of "earn your turns" caption in the bottom left corner. if you go with that it may also be worth downsizing and moving the splitboard logo to the right hand side of frame. that way you would clear out the area on the pic where he (you?) is heading. at this stage i kind of want to see that pow spray taper off instead of being covered up by the logo.
happy to show you what i mean if you send me the artwork.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I don't think the spray is covered up by the logo at all but I made the logo smaller and moved it to the other side. I also added the logo to the second frame (skinning).
I kinda agree that the skinning frame should have some sort of saying, tagline, or quote as opposed to the logo that is on the riding frame. Any thoughts?

yeah i think the new size and position of the logo on the spray pic is working well. there's now more 'direction' to the frame (even if the spray wasn't being covered by the logo). on the skinning pic you may want to try throwing the logo (or text) in the left hand corner and it may balance nicer with the skinner.
now for a holbyco lesson in design for anyone interested (not bashing your work chris, just cos we're on the topic) one thing to remember with art and design (and placement of logos within graphic art) is to consider negative space AROUND the area of interest. so often people assume that a bigger logo makes more of a statement and stands out more, but this is not always true as it can be too overwhelming to the eye. the human eye is always drawn to imperfection, so when a smaller logo is placed in a larger area of space, we have a tendency to stare straight at it. what else is there to look at?! but when that whole space is filled you can run the risk of things looking messy and upsetting the form of the frame. in this case your pics are kick arse so a logo would complement the photography, not the other way around. don't worry, the viewer will find that logo.
traditional japanese (and chinese) art is a prime example of this as they take their negative space very seriously. look at the use of space and the direction of this painting (sorry for size):
food for thought for the creative nerds amongst us...

I agree - the snow on the left hand side in the skinning pic is dark and lacking sun, and would make a good place for the text. The smaller font you added to the powder shot looks better too imo.
