Anybody use car wax, rain-x, silicone spray, zardox, etc to prevent snow buildup on the top of your skis? What do you find works best without making a mess? How often do you have to reapply?

I've used F4 (rub on wax). It also helps to keep the topsheet cool by skinning in shady snow whenever possible.

I asked the same question a while back on this forum. One suggestion which I tried was Rainx and found it helped a bit but the effect doesn't last long, and there was still some snow sticking. I think waxing the topsheet to fill in all the rough spots, and keeping it polished, is probably the best thing to do.
