Mountain Bike Stoke

Funny that this thread was revived when it did. I happen to be sitting in the emergency room in Moab, Utah. We decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and visit Canyonlands National Park. Anyway my buddy endoed on some slickrock going down elephant hill and split his chin and shattered 6 teeth. :shock:

Edit: Fun terrain though. The La Sals were beckoning to me from the North. One day I'll get up in there for a tour.

So if anyone is around Bend, OR this Friday, check out the Bend Bicycle Film Festival. I'm stoked to be heading up that way to finally check it out in person... and surprise my mom for her birthday!

Here's a short video I put together for the film fest. I don't actually crash like this all the time

New bike!

First new bike I've had for 18 years! Couple of 2nd hand mountainbikes in the mean time, then this. Mostly new bits, some parts bin stuff, some nicked off the Dekerf for the time being.

Took it on a 55 miler off road at the weekend, pretty good fun! Not sure if the headache was from the hangover and dehydration, or from being rattled around from the rigid forks. Downhill felt a bit sketchy, more hang on and hope, keeping a good smooth line than finding hits and manualing though ditches.

It's definitely a keeper though, looking forward to doing lots on it over the next 18 years and more!

I forgot to post this last Saturday. I was up early at the 12 Hours of Sundance mtn bike race. When the clouds began to lift... lo and behold, a glorious gift had fallen on Mt Timpanogos. I think it was the first snow of the season.
