Sipping on an anchorsteam and watching my copy of Thrillhead Creation's Schralptown (great movie, btw) last night, and what do you know? I see the following link this afternoon from Mountainproject.com:

http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_5059533

In the movie, they feature Chris Davenport's quest to ski all 54 of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks in a calendar year. Looks like he's finsihed it. Incredible! way to go!!

Some credit should go to Sean Crossen I think is his name, for the 1st attempt of skiing all 14ers in one season. I love the idea of homegrown adventure. I would like to get a group of splitters together to put down some first snowboard descents of 13 footers in the Uintahs, a remote range near the Wyoming boarder and home to Utah's highest peak. Or one summer try to hike and ride all those beautiful volcanoes you PNW guys have up there, which I never realized until I read snosluts TR those volcanoes are all so close, maybe I'll ride my bike in between. So many possibilities for homegrown fun.

It's great that Davenport succeeded.
With all this talk of lofty, all-encompassing goals, I am reminded of a "record" Dave Alden told me about a few years back:
"Forty-two days riding so far this season without crossing another track."
Sounds like a good goal to me!

Just a quick correction, Schralptown follows Sean Crossen and his team's quest to climb and ski the 14'ers, not Chris Davenport. Cool either way.

But Davenport has much deeper pockets funding his quest, so things get a bit smoother with his level of support.
