NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDS!!!!!!!!!!

All I want is a 8-10 GB Ipod with a cell phone that I can hook up to my car stereo. I don't need internet, IM, email, movies and all that other crap. Just a lot of music and a phone that I can make calls and text message occasionally with.

That is all.

UB

i'm with you UB. but, i'd like more storage. at least 20...30 gb would be about perfect. that would make it a true iPod, imo.

although. i'm finding my 8 gb nano is holding plenty of tunes. (and the anodized aluminum casing is just great...no scratches. now i want an anodized for my future bikes).

thing i worry about most is battery life. wish batteries could improve.

splitboard/snowboard talk. the 8 gb nano is the perfect size for use while riding. don't listen in the BC, 'cause i like the peace and quiet.

I have the 30 gb ipod but I just use my girls shuffel when I go riding/splitting.

I might sound like a nerd but I'm using the laptop for internet schooling to get my commercial helicopter pilot license so I feel the nerdiness is justified......

Related thought: does anybody else find a total inability to balance on a board while playing music? [update: err... *listening* to music... i imagine lugging something like a harmonica or an accordion might work but that most other instruments will indeed make balancing difficult ;-)]

I don't have any problem with MTB (although it feels like i'm not as "connected" to the surroundings), but on the snowboard it appears that I rely a lot on both the tactile feel of the snow and audible cues to react better (i have no better explanation)...

Admittedly I only tried it for one run and decided it's not for me (i really enjoy just looking around, too), but I was really surprised by it.
