Here are a few pics. Snow conditions today were not ideal for dropping big lines (more here), but it was sunny so it was a great day for views. Nobody else in our group had been to Dana Plateau so I convinced them to tour up there. It was windy as hell but we got some great views.

Just read over at the ESAC website that JimW and the boys were told to leave early (today I assume) due to the expected 6' of snow there. I bet they got some good pics yesterday though.

I guess we know which forum is JimW's priority now, huh?

Yeah, it was looking like a possibility of 6 feet or more in this storm, in which case Ron from TPR was worried that he wouldn't be able to get us out until the end of the week (we were supposed to leave Tuesday), so we headed out yesterday afternoon. Some of the guys decided to stick around and check things out at Mammoth.

Then again, as we were leaving, we saw some of the TPR folks leaving too - heading into Mammoth for sushi. Hmm. :?

Don't think I'll be finding that GPS anytime soon with all this snow...

More pics coming soon. Speaking of which, Matt I like your enhancements to the pic of Fassy. I'm sure there will be more that you can "improve on" in the TR.

Sitting at home here on Tuesday, looking back it was a great trip. Too bad it got cut short , seemed like an "exploritory " outing but the crew was great and what runs we got were good. Galor peak on Sunday Kicked ass. Me,Larry,Chris and Frantz spent Monday at Mammoth and had fun. Was fresh snow, or cement or more like mud but we still ripped it up(or tried anyway) . Did get to iorn out the"kinks" in the 171 mountain gun. Note to self when riding a new board stop by mammoth and take a few runs to check stance setting. That way you wont be torpedoing under the sun crust every 100 feet on your first BC run. And everyone save up some money for next year. Talked to Ron about having a split party up there next season and he was interested.

Matt, you are spending wayyy to much time at your pc... I'm starting to have some doubts about all these dawn patrol and # days in the bc claims. seems like I need to make some plans to go out there w/ ya and take some pics  wanna go?

that's it. I've had it. I am investing in photoshop to add to my forum-note-posting-arsenal. beware dear split partners, I've got a digi cam too

was a great trip. no sick lines and a loong drive but kewl gang and amazing snow-weather conditions. let's keep an eye for when it's turning ok avy-wise in those couloirs. abs. wanna check it out again. and the settings!

bcr: the crew there did not (seem to) know about splitboard.com but they have splits and internet access, so no excuse and we spread the good word :) who knows, if we can't pull a splitfest @tpr, we might get some of the crew to join for a saddlebag remake or something like that.
