OK, we have wysplit and crew putting on the scrubfest and representing the continental snowpack, DjBarney and the Wasatch putting on the splitfest and representing the intercontinental snowpack, I think we need to step up and offer something in May or June to represent the maritime snowpack. Eastern sierras, carne asada and chronic, Whoa Nellie Deli and all that. What do you guys think? I have a truck , couple of b-b-que pits anyone have a portable jacuzzi?

Plenty of jacuzzi's on the eastside, they just ain't portable.

I predict many Sierra split summits this season. Hard to pick dates so early esp. with road access to some of the better spots.

how about the last weekend in april? Too earlier for road closures? I am tied up from may 4-17 at work, so we can shoot for after that say may 20and 21 . Where? Onion valley is a great place, saddlebag is great or virgina lakes. I know ttips are doing something on may 14 timeframe and they are going to ginny lakes. We could use Lee Vining as a base, has cheap hotels, campsites near, Dana, false white ect. Would be great to pick a spot where people can park with gear and come back to the parking lot in the evening ( Ribs, asada and the fixins are too heavy to pack in). So, lets get some input and I will start some leg work as soon as we decide where. Ready for site suggestions Would be nice to have a hot sping near

joesnow and i have a trip on the books to hit humphreys and its couloir on april 22-23. would be cool to see a split convention in mcgee creek, but I warn you there's not much terrain there
