No backcountry or splitters, but worth to check out. For those who are not familiar with southern skiing/boarding, in general there is no natural snowpack around here (Boone, NC) The 4 skiareas doing a good job blowing a 50" base and building some good terrain parks. There are some pretty good boarders in the terrain parks and these kids have produced a cool video

I learned to snowboard around Boone at Beech Mtn, Sugar Mtn, and Hawk's Nest. Most seasons Sugar already had one top/bottom run open by now, whereas we are sucking in the Tahoe Sierra right now.
