I'm looking to get some opinions on splitboards. I'm 5'11" 170LBS. I'm looking for a splitboard that I can use for all types of riding. Not sure if it matters but I currently ride an Arbor 163 wide.
Well, questions that will most likely be asked is where do you ride usually, steep chutes, tree runs, powder as well as what area. Both these affect the board decision, if you ride in mostly powder and trees then going with something like the khyber would probably be recomended in that you can get a little shorter version for easy manuvability in the trees while still getting the float you need from the powder nose and the set back stance. However if you like riding steeps and chutes, the the voile mountain gun seems to be a popular choice. Also there are new burtons and winterstick splits out this year that use the voile interface, as do all splitboards now. Havent heard anything about how those ride. Another question is what size feet you have in that some boards will accomodate bigger feet better then others. Hope this is helpfull.
