Nice work guys! I like the header gregm! 8)

Here are a few I created. I really want to show both the up and the down part of splitboarding. As you can see, the small size may be hard to accomplish this.

The last one is decent size? Can you make something the actual size it will have to be for the ad?

It will be 1/8 inch bigger than this (apprx)

ps. this is just an example of what I'm thinking...not the actual ad.

Agree with Zach that less is more. The logo is also too small to be effective at that size. Need something very simple with only 2 3/8 to play with. Not that this is the answer, but needs to be easy on the eyes and not very busy at all.

Yeah - that's perfect, I think. The picture is perfect and the tag succinctly describes the glory of splitting.

You always have to consider your ad on a page with a zillion other ads being read by someone who doesn't know he should care about what you're selling. Most people don't carefull examine every ad in a mag. If you cram a bunch of stuff on the ad, at a glance it will just look like a giant blur and the eye will move on to something easier to grasp.

Steeleman's ad is eye-catching and gets the point across in the tenth of a second that you have available to you.

I know you're probably not planning on using that picture for an ad, but just in case.... it is copyrighted, which I found out after I posted it on biglines, and got politely chewed out..... just so you know.

I was gonna ask if we could use it nomad, people seem to really dig it. Unfortunately we won't be able to pay to use it though. Do you think the photog would be happy with getting the photo credit and seeing his name/work in print?

what happened to mmcpheet's website? He's got some pretty sweet split images that I could use to make a good ad. And I'm pretty sure he's cool with using the photos ;)

You can use my images for an ad, just let me know where to look for them. :D

Came up with a couple simple ones:

that shit is tight. I could easily work that into the site design and replace the shitty cave drawing that currently serves as the logo ;-)

It does look clean mmcpheet, thanks! You can see the split in the board too. 8)

I'm my toughest critic however and I don't really like my steeze in the air. Do you guys think the shot after is any better?

Gregm also made a good point in his example about adding something to let the viewer know that there is more here than a retail store. There is the discussion, resources, and community.

Dood whatever  That air rocks!

I still like McPheet's, but i agree in adding "Forums" and other stuff under it to let people know there is more than just retail....
