Concerning Kicker Skins:

I am going to make a couple of pair of thin Kicker Skins (thin-skins), similar to this;

See this post from the Mountain Shop:

I think thin-skins will work well with the wife's K2 Panoramic and my Venture Storm and an old pair of black diamond skins (cut down the middle to make two pair of skins). Both splitboards have the rescue sled holes in the split skis.

Attached the thin skins to K2 Z-CLIP SYSTEM SET see http://www.sportiva.com/products/ski/ac ... system-set

FYI: I drilled the holes in the Venture Storm to accommodate a Rescue Sled. I carry the K2 Shovel Plus and a Brooks Range Rescue Sled.

The K2 Z-CLIP SYSTEM SET will be an easier and cheaper fix than trying to make some type of bracket for the thin-skins. Although two G3 brackets or Spark R and Brackets could work as well for each skin, but that would be expensive. Probably $80 dollars for brackets just for one pair of skins. :nononno:

If the skins are as thin as the middle-strip of my splitboard-skins, then I might be able to over-lay the splitboard skins on top of the thin-skins.

Seen people use them here around Snoqualmie pass a couple of years ago.

Always liked the idea of skinny skins. I think I'd want something a bit fatter than the 25 mm just because I'd use them without carrying any other skins - only for mellow tours.

Cheers
