I was wondering what edge angles folks are running on their splits? I am particularly curious about the inside edge angles during tour mode. Since I flip board halves when touring the inside straight edge is uphill and takes most of the the weight on a traverse. Has anyone found any angles that they think help with a nice hard traverse?

Most of the weight shouldn't be on your uphill ski / split, and the straight edge is way better than a deep sidecut for hold on steep sidehill traverses.

Anyway, I only mess with edges on resort boards that hit rails and such. On my splits I just sharpen occasionally and don't change the standard angle.

Cheers
Ivo

A good basic edge is 0.5 degree base edge and and 1 degree side edge. I can't really see any reason you'd need anything different for splitting
