I just asked for you. We'll see.
Quote:
HansL You asked: Are these really canted? By how much? I don't remember Voile ever selling canted pucks before and they are not advertised on their site.
It seems to me canted pucks and adjustable binding angles are mechanically incompatible. Please explain. Aug 19, 2013

*edit* They just took down my question.

It's back up and answered. I also do not believe it is possible to have adjustable universal canted pucks, they would never line up. I will leave room for error though. Wold be cool.

Word from Voile is:

Quote:
Thanks for your interest in Voile products. Yes, we will be offering canted pucks for the 2013/14 season. They will be available for purchase later this Fall. Please check our website for updates.
:bananas:

A canted pucks would be a great benefit for Hard-booters, like me.

[ Of course, I understand the Phantom bindings are better than puck/slider track binders, just cannot afford the Phantoms right now. ]

FYI Voile is selling Canted Voile Universal Splitboard Hardware Puck Set.

See http://www.voile.com/voile-splitboard-h ... anted.html

I got three pairs.

Canted pucks will definitely help lengthen my stance width and make hard-booting more comfortable.

Comes with M6 12mm and 13mm screws.

The supplied 12mm screws were to short in my opinion, so Voile set me an extra dozen 13mm screws. Got to love Voile's Customer Service!

I thinking a M6 x 14mm screw (and the supplied 13mm screw) would be the right length for these canted pucks. I tried M6 X 16mm screws but the screws bottomed out, although the disc was under tension.

Have yet to try these pucks yet, perhaps next weekend.

K2's Ultra Split kit ships with a version of these, although somewhat modified to allow for the channel-style mounting on this board. Haven't had a ton of chance to ride it, but since I ride canted bindings on my resort board, these pucks plus a set of Blazes feel pretty comfortable to me.

Got my canted pukcs set.
It came with 12mm and 13mm screws

I can't install it on my NS Prospector - too short screws.
Also thinking about 13 mm and 14mm

I too had trouble trying to install the Voile canted pucks with the provided truss-head 12mm screws on both a Venture and K2 Splitboard. I contacted Voile and they sent me two sets (4 screws per set) of truss-head 13mm screws. I do think a truss-head 14mm screw would work better. I did try longer screws from the hardware store, but elected to go with Voile's wider screw (wider screw head). Hopefully Voile will correct this and provide a 14mm (or even a 15mm screws) with the canted pucks.

My two cents :twocents: Call Voile and ask for the 14 mm (or 13mm) truss-head screws and let them know about this thread. Because Voile use a special truss head screw, I would go with them, rather than a trip to the hardware store.

Last week my wife and I rode our splitboards with the canted pucks; definitely an improvement in riding (natural stance alignment) for us hard-booters!

I would prefer the 14mm truss-head screw than the 13mm screw for the longer provided screw.

We brought a set home from the show (thanks Voile!) and look forward to using them soon.

I had no issues installing them on next year's Arbor Abacus but find getting our bindings on and off the pucks is more difficult than normal.

We'll keep you updated! :thatrocks:

I've searched around a bit, but thought I'd ask here.

Is anyone having issues using these with spark binders? It seems like the wider base of the sparks vs voile plates could cause the baseplate to come in contact with the topsheet.

What size are your Blazes?

Thanks
