If you really want to increase the position of this thread in search results, here's how:

1. change the title of this post to "DAVID GOTORFF IS A DOUCHE BAG"

2. link to this thread from elsewhere on the web, such as blogs, other forum posts, etc using the words "David Gottorff" in the link anchor text. Like this: DAVID GOTTORFF IS A DOUCHE BAG

3. Put the words "David Gottorff" in the very first sentence of the first post, so that it appears in the meta description under the page title that shows in the search results, or the meta description tag. Currently, the posts show an empty meta desc tag in the HTML <meta name="description" content=" " />, so Google just grabs the first 150 characters or so and uses that. Not only will adding the keyword add more relevance, the word "David Gottorff" will appear in bold text in the meta tag as it will in the all caps page title pulled form the title thread. This means better rankings and better click-thru-rates.

Repeating the word David Gottorff over and over is an exercise in futility. It's important that the word appears in the content, but what's most important is where it appears (page title, meta tags, mark-up, alt tags, etc. It's better just to write what you think about the subject in many variations (more natural content), and use more exact matches of the keyword in the meta tags, image alt tags, URLs that use the keyword in the file name (/david-gottorff-is-a-douche-bag), and videos using file names, titles and taggs containing the keywords (and shared on YouTube, Vimoe), etc. A Google+ profile would also help, but impersonating someone on the web is a crime, and I am not recommending that you do any of these things or commit a crime.

I hate to be the devils advocate, but you need to provide more details to prove your case if you're going to ruin this guy's career. I'm starting to think its someone else, but it would be nice to hear David or one of his friends speak up and set the record straight.
