^^^ guessing since the climbing bars come from the binding to board, the extra piece on the board is for them to come down on, vs directly to the topsheet.

Both the pin stubs face to the right. Presumably you slide the stubs into the touring bracket from the left side, and then folding down the toe plate prevents the binding from sliding back to the left. Hopefully it will use the current LT tour bracket because I have a lot of those.
The same fold-down toe plate keeps the binding from sliding back off the pucks. So nice.

I must have had some hope in my eyes on first glance, but now I see it works on Voile pucks. Damn, I hate those things. Seems if we are evolving into channeled boards we could evolve beyond that puck. I guess it must have been icing too much with the Edison interface.
Still a cool looking binding, but it only solves the problem of the pin.
If it has a heel lock mechanism then that's enough innovation to sell me, but the way it stands I'm not sure I want to invest.

OP did say Downing at the Burton booth had em - i wonder if these are Burton Bindings made by Spark.. it would make sense. especially if the Edison was still coming from Spark.
gotta say, these Magnetos look light, fast to transition, and simple. nice and simple.

Looks pretty wicked! The evolution is continuing! Nice to see.
Awesome idea of integrating the climbing wires. I would assume that they would need some sort of block to come down against too, as to prevent them from collapsing. Wish we had a picture of the hardware in the middle?
Do you feel the trend of cutting away more and more material is the right way to go though!? How is that working for folks here with Sparks that there is zero rigid sidewall anymore except for your heelcup? It just kind of looks flimsy!?

The incorporated climbing wires are great and all, but I really like using the handle of my pole to flip the low heel riser up and down without having to bend over (I still need to do the tall wire by hand). I doubt you will be able to do that with these. No obvious reason why you couldn't remove these and use the Voile dual height riser. These wires may also be an attempt to make Mr Chomps play nicer with a dual height wire system. It works ok with the Voile heels, but it could be better.
