Hi all, I'm working on a story about the Tahoe Vertical Challenge for Lake Tahoe Action. I'm looking for input from people who have or are planning to participate in the contest. (If you don't know what it is, check out tahoevertical.com.) Feel free to email me or just post a reply. Please use your full name and your location. Thank you very much!
Here's a few of the questions I'm hoping to have answered: What do you like or dislike about the contest and why? What do you think of the format? Do you think the contest has helped bring the backcountry community closer? Is the goal (15 million combined vertical) realistic? Anything else you'd like to add would be very helpful.

I like the Lake tahoe Action publication! Tells us all the nightlife goin down... And all the eye candy in the paper, like the Bunnyranch ads and tahoe party girls.... "Tahoe Vertical Challenge" sounds like a regular night out at the clubs!

I think it's a cool idea and I have paticipated last year and this year. For one, it benefits the avy center. It's sponsored by a pretty cool shop. There's all sorts of raffles. It's a good way to track your vert, and get a quick update on current conditions in the area. And it's free. Win/win in my book.
