The free online splitboard focused magazine released their latest issue. Check it out and feel free to post comments and suggestion for future issues. Who knows, you may just help write something. Victor and his team changed the format a little so hopefully it will be easier to read different devices.
I hope you guys like it. The first issue is always a catalog, including most of the splitboards in the market. I know there are some missing, but we couldn't gather enough information of those ones. It also includes a great article about the beginnings of the splitfest. It turned out longer than we expected, which is great, so we had to split it in two. And again this year, it includes the "Around the world" section, where four different riders from all over the world explain their experiences about splitboarding. In this issue we have Alexander Hoffmann, Marcin Jaskolka, Yuta Watanabe and Gonzalo Melero, talking about Austria, British Columbia, Alaska and the Pyrenees.
As John said, we have changed the format so now it's totally compatible with any kind of smartphone or tablet. That was the problem about the old format, the issuu format, which you still can take a look at in our website, but we'll slowly convert the old format into the new one.
Another big change is the name. We have left our old splitboard.cat name, which refered to the region we are from, Catalonia, and we adopted the splitboardmag name, with a .com domain, because we understand that splitboarding is a global thing and we don't want any border between splitboarders. We want to have a worldwide product, able to reach to any splitboarder in any mountain range in the world: Pyrenees, Rocky mountains, Cascades, Alps, Andes, Scandinavian mountains, Southern NZ Alps...
it would be great if you guys could give me some feedback about the magazine. Any thought that crosses your mind, please let me know.
Cheers,

I Absolutely love the new format and congratulations. You guys are on the right track!
Good job Keffler on the split fest info. Wish i would have made it to more of these events. See you at the Silverton split fest this year
The Around the world articles are excellent! As a rider that used to get to travel the world quite a bit snowboarding, the trip reports are what i would want to see in a split board related mag.

PeRi: is it possible to download the catalog in pdf? I used to download them from issuu and read them on my phone while I had some time anywhere without internet connection...

Thanks Travis Young! we just wanted something easier to read than the old format, and this works pretty well. And about the Around the World section, do not hesitate to send us your trip reports and experiences, we'll be happy to publish them!

hi FaDe, we are working on having the pdf to download it! we know some people dont have internet all the time so this was a good way of reading it. Also, with time, we will develop an app for the magazine... step by step!
