I have 6 days on the Abacus 156 that I am reviewing for checkyourpins.com. My normal board is a Freebird 158. I don't know the tech specs off hand, but the Abacus feels much lighter than the Freebird (and I thought the Freebird was light...). The 156 feels short for me, even though my solid is 156 (Burton Custom, best board ever) and my split is 158. It floats pretty well for the size though. It is also significantly stiffer than my Freebird, and a little too stiff for my liking. The Freebird is a little too soft for my liking. One thing that has stuck out to me is the apparent lack of durability. At this point, most of it is cosmetics, but the Abacus looks way more beat up after 6 days than my Freebird does after about 50 days. I don't think this bodes well for longevity.

I have been putting some days on mine (164) with both sparks and karakorams. I agree with the durability comment. The topsheet has tended to get little snags and burs easier than my other boards (purely cosmetic). I have also noticed that the base seems a little thin and soft. No real damage, but little slices happen easier than on my GNU boards.

The board is super fun, really poppy, very light. I definately dig it, just doesnt seem like a tank.
