2013 Wasatch Splitfest website goes live

The website here http://www.wasatchsplitfest.wordpress.com/ is now live. Look for more stuff and news as we figure it out.

All type of splitters are of course welcome: out-of-towners, locals, old timers, newbies, and curious wannabes.

Other splitfests (South Lake Tahoe, Rogers Pass) are more what I would call “destination”-style, in that it makes sense for many or all participants to be lodged at a common location. In the case of this Wasatch Splitfest, we’re not going to have a common lodging spot – you are on your own for that. We feel this makes sense, because we anticipate that a lot of participants will be Wasatch front locals, and plus there’s tons of hotels, condos, buddies to crash with in Salt Lake City metro area. We will provide some suggested options to help you decide if you don’t know where to start.

Our current tentative schedule is as follows:

Feb 6th Wednesday night: Splitboarding 101 Intro workshop
Feb 7th Thursday morning: Meet up at Park n Ride or trailhead and go splitboarding
Feb 7th Thursday night: Art Show/Tuning Workshop/Silent art auction
Feb 8th Friday morning: Meet up at Park n Ride or trailhead and go splitboarding
Feb 8th Friday night: Slideshows/Movies/Presentations night and Grand Raffle
Feb 9th Saturday morning: Meet up at Park n Ride or trailhead and go splitboarding
Feb 9th Saturday night: Party and Obstacle Course Challenge
Feb 10th Sunday morning: Meet up at Park n Ride or trailhead and go splitboarding

Looks like a great site where you can find any thing what you want about sknow serfing. I agree with you, In the situation of this Wasatch Splitfest, we’re not going to have a typical accommodations.

the hidden thread for the splitfest is linked above. make sure to check it out and mark your calenders we have two splitboards up for grabs, some custom sparks, and a bunch of other swag. Still getting some donations. great chance to hang out, get drunk, and win some shit.

And day-umm... UTAH's videos are insane! If there's anyone on this forum who should be spancered, it's him. Shreds harder than just about anyone here, doesn't brag about it, and posts tons of stoke and useful avy info (and OMG even wears hardboots sometimes!

). Keep it up.

Hey thanks for the kind words guys, super motivating. Jim I feel honored by your comment especially coming from someone I've followed, respected and admired for so long. This is going to be a fun event, Bucky (Buckchow) is one of sickest, creative dudes in the Wasatch. I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Matt missed your post, yeah rocking some S4's my buddy kicked me down. Never heard of em but they work well.
