I'm living in central VT near killington, and I just got a splitboard. I was wondering if there are any other splitboaders out there.

Welcome to sb. Com! There are some killington guys that post here. Probably won't be but a month till the vt thread is rolling under the conditions thread. Also post in Splitters wanted. Im up in Burlington. Handful of guys up this way that post. Not familiar with killington but have heard the back side is a bear. Will surely head down to skin pico before the chairs turn if you get an early dump like last year.

Yo! Down in CT here, but meaning to spend most weekends up in VT this winter. Snow-shoed for turns around Stowe last winter, just upgraded to a splitty myself along with some other friends down here, and looking to get some mileage on them. Keep me in mind when the snow starts following, maybe we can do some hiking.

I would love to hike and ride around Stowe if people no the area

What kind of bindings do you guys have out there?

I went riding at killington on Saturday, it was the best Oct 13the I have ever been on.

Had a good time at killington, there is some pretty good conditions up there. I am planing on going tomorrow. It's just nice to get out there and ride some snow.

I probably have about an inch of snow in the yard in Pittsfield, VT. It's getting closer to the split season, i can't wait.

Does anyone know if there is an uphill policy at Killington or Pico? If one were to strike out before the lifts started spinning would the wrath of Patrol be invoked?

I'm not sure but i can find out. I know a patrol guy at Killington so i will ask him. I will let you know.

They have always been nothing but kind to me. I think it's state forest, anyway.

My apologies if it's been answered once before. My previous search for "uphill" along with "Pico" and "Killington" were fruitless. I shall try again.

Yeah, I can't remember where to find it (I only mention it because there we some good info about state forest rules, etc,)- but anyway they are definitely split friendly in my experience, and the mt biking trails are nice to climb.
