science food is good, but sometimes it is nice to have something real. One of my fave's is just a bagel with cream cheese. it's light and doesn't take up to much room. An all day food plan for me would usually be a few gel and/or blocks, handful of mini snickers, bagel, or a small container of edamame. I'll through in some nuts, fruit snacks, or crackers if I have them lying around. I'll only take what I can fit in a sandwich size ziplock bag.

Mandarin oranges. Don't even peel them, just eat the frozen carcass, skin and all. And chocolate. Also, I try and start the morning off with about a litre of coffee.... NO YELLOW SNOW TIL SUMMIT!

Dried apricots, snickers bar, and almonds for snacks, PB&J for something real. Instead of gels, I pack fruit snacks that we buy for the kids. Ingredients are almost the exact same, but a fraction of the price.....

My old roommate was making granola bars similar to Cliffs with Dates and Oats a couple years ago.
