So the winter outlooks are starting to roll in, and it looks like I picked a good year to move from Canada to Southern California, as it is supposed to be an El Nino year:

Yep Typically el nino years are great for the sierras, with strong el ninos bringing record years. Although, I've hear rumors of a neutral pattern as well which are not bad down south, and supposedly the best for the northwest....only time will tell.
That chart didn't look good for the northwest so I'm hoping its wrong
