My skins are older ones and still work OK but I feel like the glue on the underside of the skins could use some new life. I am new to the backcountry scene so I wanted to know if there was a way to reapply glue to make it sticky again? And if so is it worth it? Or just better off buying new skins all together (What I want to avoid but if it's best I will just buy new ones)

I own an older Burton S Series 160 Factory Splitboard, so not sure if I can buy any skins or if they should be specific ones for my set up?

Here is a video fro, last seaosn up Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake City.

you will need to find the right glue from the manufacturer of your skins to do it right. if they are voile the black diamond glue renew kit will work. get an iron, and some paper bags. lay sections of the brown paper bag over the glue, and iron it on. the paper will soak up the glue, then peel off the paper. a hot knife will work very well to clean up some leftover glue. then, apply the glue renew kit.

there is also the black diamond "gold medal" touch up glue that works well also if your glue is not too dirty.

you could get voile's or g3's will work. those gecko skins are cool too. g3 looks like they are coming out with a high traction skin next year also that should be pretty sweet.

here is your video
