Alaska Lanslide, largest ever in N.A and Kootenay Lake Slide

Big day for landslide news, geez.

First in Glacier Bay/Fairweather Range Alaska, Occurred June 11th, found and photographed by Drake Olsen (bush pilot of Deeper Fame) on July 2nd. This slide is absolutely enormous, check it out!

Came off Lituya mountain, which is coincidental as Lituya bay was the location of the 1958 Mega Tsunami that sent a 530 meter wave up the opposing mountainside! A pretty good story in its own right.

Also a sad day in landslides, 4 people unaccounted for after homes were hit by a landslide off of kootenay lake! Lets hope they are found safe.
