I am heading to Driggs, ID this Friday for some days of riding. I have been looking for a guide book though haven't had any luck.

Just looking to see if there is any good guide books for the Jackson Hole/Driggs area.

I did a trip to Driggs last year in Feb. and we mainly rode up on the pass, Glory and Olivers. I was hoping to find a book to get some beta on some higher peaks since we'll be there in the spring.

Select Peaks of the Greater Yellowstone by Thomas Turiano. Best book you could ever get for that area. Not only beta but all kinds of interesting history & geology of the peaks discussed. This book has a permanent place on my main throne & gets read & re-read constantly for the last 5 years. TT self published this book so you may have to get it through his web site if you want it prior to arrival. http://www.indomitusbooks.com. You may find one used on Amazon or something or you can probably get it in J-Hole at typical outdoor gear places.

Look for, Teton Skiing A History and guide, again by Turiano. Teton specific guide and History. Skinny Skis or Teton Mountaineering in Jackson, also look at Yostmark in Driggs.

You're in luck! The book that the.big.van references, Turiano's Teton Skiing, is one of the sweetest guidebooks I've seen. You can pick it up at a number of shops locally (know for a fact that Wilson Backcountry Sports at the base of the Pass had it last week). Excellent reference for the entire range.
Be careful though- I was down there last week and wouldn't call what I saw a springlike snowpack. Still some nasty layers that will be heard from again once things warm up. Doing better than most places around here though.

Targhee Backcountry Ski Atlas by Brady Johnston is a pretty good resource for the west side of the Tetons. A little short on descriptions but it has a ton of great aerial photos. A good supplement to Turiano's "bible". Between Yostmark, Peaked Sports, and Habitat I'm sure you can track down a copy in Driggs.

Temps at 10,000ft are forecasted to be in the high 30's this weekend.
