friends in town. we were going to ride the lifts at hood today. luckily looked at the forecast last night:

80% chance of rain.

so we got drunk.

In addition to trash, one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings.

If its the right size I like to keep my inclinometer in there for quick access. Still getting the hang of eyeballing slopes but it's fun to play guess and check as I'm moving around out there to hone the skillz.

It varies but this weekend I kept a couple Cuties (small tangerines) in mine for the hike up.

I try to keep my backpack hip belt pocket stocked with a couple hours supply of misc ingestible snacks and treats, and one of these, I find I like it immediately handy for clearing iced bindings at transitions:
