Hi,
Mortgaged the house, sold my family heirlooms and thinking of heading up to the Valdez area for some Heli (cheating I know! ) in the next few weeks. When I run out of money (will happen quite quickly!) def wanna get some earned turns in too. Is there good splittin to be had in this area? Am I too early and it's gonna be too effing cold? Any below the treeline action for crappy days or is it all alpine? Any tips etc appreciated.

There's TONS of good/great splitting there, bring some "verts" too if you can. There's a lot of straight up hiking. Earlier is better I think, beat the masses to the goods! As far as weather, Thompson Pass can be F-ing cold, but Valdez generally stays pretty mild. You get used to it and/or hike through it. The book SpruceCabin mentioned is a good guide for the area as well. Good luck with the trees though, it's pretty much all alpine skiing/riding there. Enjoy and take lots of pic.s to share with us here at splitboard.com!
