Avalanche feared...
11:05 a.m. — A helicoper on a low-flying search of avalanche debris on Ranger Peak picked up two beacon hits, Jenny Anzelmo-Sarles, Grand Teton National Park spokeswoman, told a News&Guide reporter at the Colter Bay staging area.

Today my heart has been broken. I just rode GTNP with Steve a couple of weeks ago and I cannot believe the news today. Days spent with Steve on Gannett Peak, Ramshorn/6 mile, pow shots in the Park taught me how amazing Steve really is. Fuck, I am going to miss him!
I heard about it this morning and have been hoping for the best even though it isn't looking good. Steve is a great guy and if the worst is true I will definitely be quite sad.
Rest in Peace, Steve and Chris. I truly enjoyed the one trip that I took with you and feel grateful for the time that you spent being a part of the local mountain (and wider) community.
