all i was saying is i think it feels really weird to have a company like lib tech making skis. i wouldn't have even thought twice about it if burton made skis. i just think that lib made it's reputation on being a soul snowboard company. it is probably the same feeling skiers got when their companies started making snowboards. but isn't going after more money selling out. i don't think lib tech was going out of business. if lib tech starts making roller blades i will be pissed and not support thier company.
....Mervin has had two manufacturing facilities in WA state for a number of years now. the original factory in Seattle and a 2nd one out on the Olympic Penninsula near Sequim.
the Seattle factory is closing. that's not a rumor. 2nd factory will remain open. some production could *possibly* go to the Rossi facilities in France and Spain. some production could go to China. or no production goes anywhere outside of WA state. nobody knows for certain yet.
Quiksilver also owns DC. there is a new facility being built in Park City, UT that will house sales and marketing for all of Quik's snow brands, which include Roxy and Quik outerwear as well.
and SO STOKED they are making skis. Mike Olsen use to make skis at his home with his dad.they would dumpter-dive the K2 factory on Vashon and take home all sorts of scrap material.
and any splitboarder that has a problem with a snowboard company making skis needs to remember that Voile made skis before boards and Prior makes skis too.

I just have a problem with snowboard companies that don't return emails.
