AKLuvin's post about this is somewhere here, but the search function was down.
The new Leki Makalus are as crappy as the old or cheap ones, the lock/unlocking mechism didn't survive the summertime glacier sessions.
:oops: On top of that they fell apart & needed to be glued back together. If you buy twisties don't pay much & don't expect much.

How 'bout that flicklock converter tutorial you offered, SPLIT?
