anybody know a spot that does it? anywhere in northern california will work really

There are a couple of places in the SLT/Meyers area that rents splitboards at around $50 per day. Vertical Sports is the one in Meyers. I think their number is 530-541-9294

In the Bay area, not sure, but you could check w/REI or Marmot.

In Mt. Shasta, I thought either or both of the Fifth Season and Shasta Base Camp did splitboard rentals, but I don't see that on their sites. Give them a call to check:

Outdoor Adventure Club was handing out flyers at the Deeper premier in SF and it looks like they rent splitboards out of Lombardi Sports

I know Shasta Basecamp did previously, not sure about the coming season. No knowledge on 5th Season.
