Got a new split setup and actually in a position to choose a pair of skins for the first time in my life...wondering if the bd split skins with a little mod (saw this posted here recently) are the way to go? or will I be just as happy with the voile setup? Will be on a venture storm-r, 162...opinions?

depends on your priorities i guess...
no work required vs light weight
i think the cost is about same same, up here at least
how good are you at sewing? you should see all the holes in my finger
and will you be travelling alot on well beaten but potentially poorly set uptracks? (the worst is when the track is mellow but the switchback is steep, i blame telemarkers)
i probly would have just gone with voile and saved me the pain of sewing but my deck as skis go 156mm to 134 at the waist thats ph fat

cool. i suck at sewing. will probably just order the voiles in that case.
