I recently found myself in Sun Valley, Idaho and all I found were icy groomers, a hundred snow blowers and spotty coverage everywhere else. What I managed to leave with was two core shots in two different boards. I normally hit up second ascent for gear but it turns out they don't work on snowboards, even when I told them my snow board split into two 'ski-like' pieces. So as a newcomer to the Seattle area I was wondering what the best shop is in town for base-repairing work, specifically base welding.

Pro Ski in seattle on hwy 99(auburn?). I took my split in there before to have it worked on, but they just gave me a beer and told me it was beyond repair.

Snowboard Connection (next to the big Seattle REI) works on splitboards and snowboards of all shapes and sizes.

During my time in Seattle, I was most impressed with Sports X (2232 15th Avenue West). They were awesome to deal with and did terrific work on my boards during the rock season of 2005. Snowboard Connection was my second choice.

Steurtevants, in Bellevue has some really great board tech guys. I used to work there, and they can fix anything!!
