I don't know how secure the website is the Mike at the Backcountry is as standup as anyone out there. If your concerned about the website just give them a call.

I've had a good experience with them.

Anything with SSL (note the lock on your browser, usually at the top or bottom right) implies that the company running the website was verified, their contact details are correct, unless your browser complained that the certificate was untrusted.
